Our story
Local since the 1980s.
Albies was founded in the 1980s in a small office at the bottom of the Conge, Great Yarmouth, and has grown into one of the area's largest transport operators.
1980s
Albies Taxis opens in a small office at the bottom of the Conge, Great Yarmouth.
Early '90s
Brothers Andrew and Neil buy the business, then around five vehicles, to run a reliable all-year service.
Suffling Road
Albies moves to its current home, adding minibuses, wheelchair vehicles, freight and its own MOT workshops.
Today
A 240-vehicle fleet and over 300 local jobs, with more than 100 sub-100g CO₂ vehicles on the road.
Greener today for a greener tomorrow.
We offset our carbon footprint by investing in conservation and tree planting with the Woodland Trust, and add new low-emission vehicles at every registration change.
